RLPPOA Garbage/Refuse/Waste Collection Services

Holidays       Part Time Residents       Recycle Collection Dates       Recycle Guidelines        Large Items       Yard Waste       Contact Republic

Effective the week of October 18, 2021, our refuse/trash/recycle/yard waste pick-up day will change from Tuesday to Thursday. This will make our first new pick-up day Thursday, October 21st, and will continue on Thursdays thereafter, with recycle being picked up every two weeks thereafter.

Reference the email sent 9/20/21 and 10/15/21.

The Runyan Lake Point Property Owner's Association, Inc. (RLPPOA) has a waste collection service contract with Republic Services, effective 1/1/2014, to help save our roads!  We have also negotiated a great price!  The cost of this service will be added as a special assessment to your 2014 association dues.  Individual contracts are no longer necessary, and no other waste service providers will be allowed to enter Runyan Lake Point.  Any questions or concerns with service should be directed to the Association, since the contract is with the Association.  Reference the 10/21/13 mailed letter.

Effective January 2, 2014, only Allied/Republic Services refuse/garbage service trucks are authorized to enter Runyan Lake Point.  All other providers will be stopped and denied further entry if seen.

Trash Containers
All Members will need to provide their own trash containers at this time.  Standard size trash containers and roll-aways are acceptable.  It is suggested trash bags not be left on the ground to prevent access by dogs and other animals.  ** Contact Hugh if you would like a large trash or recycle roll-away.  Cost is $30.

No Hazardous Material, Liquid paint, Liquid Waste, Car Batteries, or Car Parts are accepted.  No items containing lead or mercury.  Please see an alternative hazardous waste disposal method here.

Household batteries can be recycled at the Tyrone Township Hall.  Car batteries can be taken to a local auto parts store.  Spiral compact fluorescent bulbs and power tool batteries are accepted at the Fenton Home Depot.  Many electronic items are accepted at Best Buy and Staples.  If you are interested in reducing your landfill footprint many more items can be recycled.  Contact 517-548-4439 or visit www.recyclelivingston.org for information about acceptable materials, location, hours and fees.

Recycle Schedule
Recycle services have moved to Thursdays beginning October 21, 2022, then every other Thursday thereafter, with the exception of holidays noted below.

Recycle Bins
You can use bins you already have, or a trash container clearly marked "Recycle".  If you need a recycle bin, please contact the RLPPOA and Republic Services will provide one free of charge. ** Contact Hugh if you would like a large trash or recycle roll-away.  Cost is $30.

Recycle Items
Per Republic Services, the following items can be recycled:  Paper (newspaper, junk mail, office paper, magazines), glass, metal cans (tin, aluminum, etc.), corrugated cardboard and box board (3ft x 3ft sections max, please cut or fold larger pieces to this size), and plastics #1-7.

Contact 517-548-4439 or visit www.recyclelivingston.org for information about acceptable materials, location, hours, and fees.
