Background
In 2006 the
RLI
Board of Trustees proposed various revisions to the Runyan Lake Inc. bylaws to
bring them up to date and eliminate inconsistencies.
The proposed changes were
reviewed during the Spring 2007 General Membership Meeting for feedback. Full details of all the proposed changes were made
available to all members prior to the Fall 2007 General Membership Meeting, and
were presented at the meeting and approved by the Membership with minor changes.
Subsequent amendment
proposals have been presented during General Membership Meetings as set forth in
the bylaws.
Copies of the updated bylaws
are distributed to all members whenever changes are approved, and are provided to property
sellers and new property owners. If you need additional
electronic or hard copies, please contact us at

Amendments since 2007
included:
-
Revisions as needed to accommodate properties
being developed within RLI described territory that do not have any access to
Runyan Lake – this is driven by the new Runyan Lake East site condominium
development that includes such properties.
-
Making descriptions consistent throughout the text
for meetings, voting majorities, members, and other grammatical errors.
-
Removal of the language referring to the special
assessment for the boat ramp, now finished.
-
Requiring nominations for trustees to be submitted
sufficiently ahead of the Fall General Meeting for proxy voting to be a
practicable option.
-
Relaxing various items of text so that items voted
annually do not require amendments to the bylaws to be sent out annually.
