Vandalism Alert

Unfortunately, one of our members has been the victim of vandalism.  On the evening of July 28 a boat located at 10479 Runyan Lake Point had its drain plug removed, its electrical system disabled, and was then removed from its hoist and pushed out into the lake.  While the boat did not completely sink, significant water damage resulted. 

A $1,500.00 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those involved. 

If you have information about this incident please contact the Livingston County Sheriff (911) or send an email to runyanlakeinc@aol.com and we will forward your contact information to the owner and/or Sheriff.. 

General Theft and Vandalism Prevention

Although we live in a wonderful area with minimal crime, reality is we live in a time where random acts of crime can and do occasionally occur.  During the summer of 2011 a number of incidents have been reported in our immediate area.  Please help prevent or minimize loss by adhering to the following:

Keep your home locked when you are away.   

bullet

Keep your car doors locked if your car is parked outdoors.

bullet

Do not leave items of interest on display in your car, such as portable navigation systems and CD's.

bullet

Do not leave your wallet or purse in your car.

bullet

Report any suspicious activities to the Livingston County Sheriff (call 911).

bullet

If you notice anything suspicious at your neighbors, contact them, and if you cannot reach them call 911.

bullet

We are a community of friends and neighbors - please respect each other's property and look out for your neighbor's property as if it were your own.

bullet

Report incidents to Runyan Lake Inc. so we can inform those in the area to be on the look out.
